This recipe is inspired by a Chia Limeade I had at a wonderful brunch spot in Phoenix called fàme caffe. It was so simple and refreshing, I knew I had to make it at home. It has only 4 ingredients, and all you have to do is shake them all up in a jar and you’re done. It doesn’t get any easier.
I used honey to sweeten it but you could use any sweetener you want, sugar, agave nectar, etc. The only sweetener I’m not sure would work is maple syrup. That might add a weird flavor, but I haven’t tested it so I can’t be sure. Anyways, do yourself a favor and make this ASAP. It’s SO GOOD.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of water
- 2 Tbsp chia seeds
- 2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
- 2 Tbsp honey (or sweetener of your choice)
- Ice
Instructions
- Add all ingredients except ice to a jar and shake it up. Let sit for at least 15 minutes and then shake it up again. Add ice and drink with a straw for optimum bubble tea delight.
